The Panoz: Engine repair
For engine work on the Panoz, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Your car, your notes
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
What to send us
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.
A rental while you wait
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Car care, briefly
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.
Make a request
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
Request engine repair
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
