Engine repair: how we help
Need engine work for the Polestar? We arrange it with a trusted shop; the work is never done by CarmaCars. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Your car, your notes
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
Who does what
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You agree everything with the shop before work begins. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
Stay on the road
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
What to ask
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
Good habits for your car
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
