The Porsche: Engine repair
For engine work on your Porsche, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Your car, your notes
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
The steps
Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
Driving while yours is at the shop
We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Talking to the shop
Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Between shop visits
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.
