The 2001 Saturn LS1: Engine repair
For engine work on the 2001 Saturn LS1, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Your car, your notes
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the LS1.
Who does what
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. You agree everything with the shop before work begins.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Good habits for your car
Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
Before the shop starts
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.
Over to you
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request engine repair
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
