Engine repair: how we help

For engine work on the Volvo, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Your car, your notes

Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.

From request to repair

You approve the shop's quote before any work. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.

Driving while yours is at the shop

Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. The rental is priced like any other on our site. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.

Before the shop starts

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.

Between shop visits

Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

Let us know

Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.

Request engine repair

Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
