Arranging the work for the CACL
Searching for engine repair for the Volvo CACL? CarmaCars does not do this work itself; we arrange it with a trusted shop. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Your car, your notes
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
What CarmaCars does here
Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. We keep you posted until the car is booked in.
A car meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Getting a clear quote
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
Good habits for your car
Look at the tire tread before long trips. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
