The 2000 Volvo FML: Engine repair
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for engine work on the 2000 Volvo FML we arrange a trusted shop. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Your FML and the shop
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
How we help
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
Driving while yours is at the shop
The rental is priced like any other on our site. Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Car care, briefly
Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Ask us
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
