What the specs mean

It is powered by the 3.2L 6-cylinder, with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

A combined rating of 11.4 L/100 km works out to about 34 litres per 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $53.01 in energy at our price setting.

Who the Cherokee suits

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage.

The Cherokee in everyday use

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Renting it

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

What we need from you

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

How it works

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
