Specs, explained

It runs the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

By the EPA's combined rating of 8.3 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 25 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.87, and a 300 km weekend about $38.61.

What to expect from the A4

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. For luggage, 340 litres means about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Good uses for the A4

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Getting this car from us

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

From your dates to the handover

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Checking your details

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Ready when you are

Request a car, read the offer, and decide. That is the whole process.
