Java and the A4

Frankfort, Sharples and Raab Corners are the neighbouring places on our list.

What the figures tell you

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Fuel use is rated 8.3 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 25 litres. In energy, every 100 km costs about $12.87 at our price setting.

What to expect from the A4

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. For luggage, 340 litres means about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

A good match for

It suits stop-and-go driving and rideshare or delivery work. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

Getting one from us

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.

What to expect when you book

You request the car online with your dates, and you pay nothing to send it. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

Driver requirements

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
