Renting the 1997 Lexus LS
If a car with a driver is the plan, the 1997 Lexus LS is worth a look; here is why. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
Engine and fuel
The engine is the 4.0L 8-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive and a 4-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
It is rated at 12.4 L/100 km combined, so budget about 37 litres for 300 km. Expect about $21.70 per 100 km at our price setting.
Who it is for
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.
How big it is
A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The EPA lists 396 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Request, offer, keys
Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.
Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
Before you rent
At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
