Loaner car: red 2020 Audi A4 Technik in Java

Renting the 2020 Audi A4 Technik

Renting the 2020 Audi A4 Technik as a car while yours is off the road works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it.

Renting for Java

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Under the hood

Its 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo drives through a 7-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

At 7.9 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 24 litres of fuel. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $41.49 at our price setting.

Practical details

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. At 4.76 m from bumper to bumper, it is on the long side. Check the size of a tight parking spot. The EPA measures its luggage space at 368 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who it is for

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Our A4 cars

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Driver basics

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

Booking made plain

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.
