The A4 and Java

What the figures tell you

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

By the EPA's combined rating of 7.9 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 24 litres. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $13.83.

What the A4 is like

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its length is 4.76 m, so it is on the long side. Check the size of a tight parking spot. EPA lists 368 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

How renting with us works

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Rules for renters

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
