About the 2000 BMW X5
The 2000 BMW X5 for a rental car: the facts first, then the booking. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Under the hood
It is powered by the 4.4L 8-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Its combined rating is 16.8 L/100 km, which means roughly 50 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $29.40, and a 300 km weekend about $88.20.
Best uses
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
Space, size and seats
As an SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier. It is 4.67 m long. It fits most condo and driveway spots.
Can you rent one?
A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
Booking, step by step
First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
The photos on a car's page are of that car. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
The rules, briefly
Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.
Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
