What the figures tell you

The powertrain here is the 1.5L 4-cylinder hybrid with front-wheel drive and an automatic (CVT). It is a plug-in hybrid: it runs on electricity for a short distance, then on gas like a regular hybrid. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

By the EPA's combined rating of 5.6 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 17 litres. On electricity alone it is rated for about 676 km before the gas engine takes over. A 300 km weekend costs about $26.04 in energy at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits short daily drives on electricity with gas for longer trips.

Size and space

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. In plain terms, its 538 litres of luggage space hold bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Can you rent one?

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

What happens when you ask for a car

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.

What we check

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

Ready when you are
