Luup alternative: the 2008 GMC Envoy
For a rental car, here is what the 2008 GMC Envoy brings, and how to request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The figures, translated
The 5.3L 8-cylinder with rear-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
The combined figure, 13.8 L/100 km, means roughly 41 litres for 300 km. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $64.17 at our price setting.
Best uses
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
What to expect from the Envoy
An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.
In our fleet
A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
How renting with us works
To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.
Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.
What we ask of drivers
We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.
Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
Next step
A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
