Luup alternative: the 2021 Honda Civic EX

The 2021 Honda Civic EX is on this page for Luup alternative: here is what to know before you request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Knobs and the Civic

If you need it in Knobs itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Knobs is about 692 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Next door to Knobs are Johnson Crossroads, Elmhurst and Union.

The numbers in plain words

The powertrain to know here is the 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

By the EPA's combined rating of 6.9 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 21 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $10.70, and a 300 km weekend about $32.10.

Who it is for

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

What to expect from the Civic

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is 736 litres, enough for bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Can you rent one?

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Meanwhile, 8 similar cars are listed below.

From request to keys

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

The rules, briefly

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
