Luup alternative: red 2023 Jeep Compass North in Java

Renting the 2023 Jeep Compass North

For a rental car, the 2023 Jeep Compass North could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

A note on Java

Java is about 1,639 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Selby, Lowry and Sitka are the closest places to Java on our list.

Reading the spec sheet

Power: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo; drive: all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Its combined rating is 8.8 L/100 km, which means roughly 26 litres for 300 km. Every 100 km costs about $13.64 in fuel at our price setting.

What to expect from the Compass

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Who it is for

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.

In our fleet

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Requesting a car

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Rules for renters

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
