The 2012 Mazda 3: Luup alternative

The 2012 Mazda 3 is on this page for Luup alternative: here is what to know before you request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Specs, explained

It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 22 litres, from its 7.4 L/100 km rating. In money, 1,000 km costs about $114.70 at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Size and space

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. In plain terms, its 481 litres of luggage space hold a family's bags for a long weekend.

From your dates to the handover

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

The rules, briefly

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
