Luup alternative: beige 2020 Ram 1500 TRX in Java

The 2020 Ram 1500 TRX: Luup alternative

For a rental car, here is what the 2020 Ram 1500 TRX brings, and how to request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Renting for Java

We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,639 km away. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

The pages for Selby, Lowry and Sitka cover the areas next door.

Engine and fuel

The engine is the 5.7L 8-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

It is rated at 13.6 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 41 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $21.08, and a 300 km weekend about $63.24.

Good uses for the 1500

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Practical details

As a pickup truck, it has an open bed for things that would never fit in a trunk.

Can I rent it?

Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

How renting with us works

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

What to have ready

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
