Luup alternative: the Scion iA

This page joins two things: Luup alternative, and the Scion iA in plain words. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

What the figures tell you

The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.

Space, size and seats

As a small car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight.

Best uses

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Rent it from us

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.

From your dates to the handover

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

What we check

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

Questions first?

A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
