The 2012 Scion tC: Luup alternative
Luup alternative: the 2012 Scion tC. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Engine and fuel
The engine is the 2.5L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
It is rated at 9.3 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 28 litres. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $43.26 at our price setting.
Who it is for
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Space and size
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. The EPA measures its luggage space at 425 litres, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.
Can I rent it?
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Booking, step by step
A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.
Checking your details
Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
