Luup alternative: the 2011 Subaru Forester
The 2011 Subaru Forester for a rental car: the facts first, then the booking. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Under the hood
The 2.5L 4-cylinder with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.
For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 31 litres, from its 10.2 L/100 km rating. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $158.10.
The Forester in everyday use
Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height. Its 963 litre trunk is enough for bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.
Best uses
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage.
In our fleet
A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
Driver requirements
Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
The booking steps
Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.
You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
Still deciding?
When you have your dates, send a request. It is free, and the offer shows the full price.
