Luup alternative: the 2021 Subaru Forester Base

Want the 2021 Subaru Forester Base as a rental car? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Cabool and the Forester

Cabool is about 1,311 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Cabool starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

If you are close to Cabool, you may also be near Cedar Bluff, Sargent and Dunn.

The figures, translated

The powertrain to know here is the 2.5L 4-cylinder, with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

At 8.2 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 25 litres of fuel. In energy, every 100 km costs about $12.71 at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Inside and out

It offers the space of an SUV with the height that makes loading easy.

Renting it

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Who qualifies

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

What to expect when you book

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
