The 1981 Subaru GL: Luup alternative
If you need a rental car, read about the 1981 Subaru GL here, then request it. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The numbers in plain words
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Best uses
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
Room inside
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with.
Can you rent one?
Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
What we need from you
You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
The booking steps
You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
The photos on a car's page are of that car. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
Your move
When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.

How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?

What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
