Every Subaru GL year
Luup alternative: the Subaru GL
If a rental car is the plan, the Subaru GL is worth a look; here is why. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Reading the spec sheet
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Who it is for
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
The GL in everyday use
Being a car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives.
Renting this car
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Checking your details
Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
Requesting a car
The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.
Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
One more step
If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.

Can I rent a Subaru GL in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
