Renting: the basics

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
