Luup alternative and the 2005 Subaru Outback
If you need a rental car, the 2005 Subaru Outback is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The figures, translated
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
Who rents the Outback
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
Room inside
As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.
Renting the Outback from CarmaCars
Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
The rules, briefly
You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
Booking made plain
Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
Next step
The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.

Can I rent a 2005 Subaru Outback in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
