The 2016 Subaru Outback: Luup alternative
Want to know if the 2016 Subaru Outback suits a rental car? Read on. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Under the hood
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Size and space
Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.
Who rents the Outback
It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
Getting one from us
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Licence, age and card
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
Booking in plain terms
Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.
A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
One more step
If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.

How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
