Luup alternative: beige 2024 Toyota Highlander LE in Java

Luup alternative and the 2024 Toyota Highlander LE

This page joins two things: Luup alternative, and the 2024 Toyota Highlander LE in plain words. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

A note on Java

We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,639 km away. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Other places near Java: Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Under the hood

The powertrain here is the 2.4L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Fuel use is rated 9.7 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 29 litres. Expect about $15.04 per 100 km at our price setting.

What to expect from the Highlander

An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.

Who rents the Highlander

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

In our fleet

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Request, offer, keys

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

Who can rent

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

One more step

If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.
