Renting the Volvo 960

Luup alternative: the Volvo 960. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Specs, explained

No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Space, size and seats

As a wagon, it has the length of a car with a bigger load space at the back.

Renting it

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Delivery starts at $75 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.

What we need from you

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

What happens when you ask for a car

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Over to you

Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
