Renting the 1998 Volvo FML
Renting the 1998 Volvo FML as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Reading the spec sheet
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Best uses
It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
Inside and out
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk.
Renting the FML from CarmaCars
Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Your booking, in three steps
The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.
Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
Driver requirements
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

Can I rent a 1998 Volvo FML in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
