Minivan rental: red 2018 Audi A4 Technik in Java

Minivan rental: the 2018 Audi A4 Technik

If a van or a seven-seat car is the plan, the 2018 Audi A4 Technik is worth a look; here is why. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

The A4 and Java

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,933 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

Also close to Java: Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

Under the hood

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, paired with a 6-speed manual, drives it. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It is rated 8.6 L/100 km combined: about 26 litres every 300 km. Expect about $15.05 per 100 km at our price setting.

Who the A4 suits

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Size and space

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

In our fleet

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer.

Rules for renters

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

Booking with CarmaCars

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
