Renting for Java

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Java is about 1,933 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Next door to Java are Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

In red

The studio image shows the A4 in red; photos of each real car are on its page. If you want it in red, say so in your request and we look for one for your dates. Our red cars of this kind are listed first, when we have one.

Engine and fuel

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 26 litres, from its 8.6 L/100 km rating. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $45.15 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Space, size and seats

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Luggage space is 368 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

In our fleet

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

What we ask of drivers

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Requesting a car

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
