What the figures tell you

Under the hood: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Plan on about 25 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $12.87 at our price setting.

Who the A4 suits

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Inside and out

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting the A4 from CarmaCars

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.

What we ask of drivers

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Getting the car booked

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
