What the figures tell you

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

By the EPA's combined rating of 8.3 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 25 litres. For 1,000 km, budget about $128.70 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

Living with the A4

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Luggage space is 340 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Rent it from us

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.

Requesting a car

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. You pay only once you approve the offer.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

The rules, briefly

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

When you know your dates

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
