Java and the A4

If you are near Java, Frankfort, Sharples and Raab Corners are close too.

What the specs mean

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Combined fuel use is 8.3 L/100 km: about 25 litres for 300 km. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.87.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

The A4 in everyday use

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Luggage space is 340 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Getting one from us

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.

From your dates to the handover

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Requirements

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Still deciding?

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
