Java and the 1500

Next door to Java are Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

The numbers in plain words

Power: the 6.2L 8-cylinder supercharged; drive: four-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

Fuel use is rated 19.8 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 59 litres. Expect about $34.65 per 100 km at our price setting.

What to expect from the 1500

Being a pickup truck, it trades parking ease for a cargo bed.

Good uses for the 1500

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Rent it from us

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.

Your booking, in three steps

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

What we ask of drivers

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
