Renting for Java

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Next door to Java are Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Specs, explained

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Plan on about 24 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 7.9 L/100 km. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $13.83, and a 300 km weekend about $41.49.

How big it is

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. NHTSA lists it at 4.76 m long. Check the size of a tight parking spot. In plain terms, its 368 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

Rent this car

Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one.

Checking your details

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

The booking steps

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
