Specs, explained

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Combined fuel use is 8.3 L/100 km: about 25 litres for 300 km. Expect about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

How big it is

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. The EPA lists 340 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

A good match for

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Booking with CarmaCars

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.

Driver basics

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
