Arranging the work for the IS
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a safety certificate on the Lexus IS we arrange a trusted shop. A used car you buy in Ontario needs a Safety Standards Certificate before it can be plated.

The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the IS.

We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name.
A car meanwhile
Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Small things that help
Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
What to ask
Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.
