Renting the BYD e6

If you need a rental car, read about the BYD e6 here, then request it. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Engine and fuel

The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.

Room inside

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Good uses for the e6

Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Can you rent one?

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.

How booking works

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

What we check

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Ready to ask?

When you have your dates, send a request. It is free, and the offer shows the full price.

Can I rent a BYD e6 in Toronto?

Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.

How old do I need to be to rent?

18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.

How much is the deposit?

Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.

What coverage do I need?

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.

Can the car be delivered?

Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
