About the 2012 BYD e6
The 2012 BYD e6 for a rental car: the facts first, then the booking. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Reading the spec sheet
Under the hood: the electric motor and front-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
It uses 33.6 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 101 kWh of charge. The EPA rates its range at 196 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. At our price setting, it costs about $5.04 to drive 100 km.
When the e6 makes sense
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.
Space, size and seats
As an SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.
Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.
Driver requirements
We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.
You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
Ready when you are
