Turo alternative and the 1987 GMC Pickup
Want the 1987 GMC Pickup as a rental car? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Reading the spec sheet
Its powertrain is the 2.5L 4-cylinder with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.
Expect about 34 litres for every 300 km, going by its 11.2 L/100 km combined rating. Driving 300 km costs roughly $52.08 at our price setting.
Who the Pickup suits
It suits moving day, renovation runs and anything that needs an open bed. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
How big it is
A pickup is long and tall, so plan for parking and low garages.
Renting it
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
What happens when you ask for a car
You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
What we ask of drivers
Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.
Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
Ask us
Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
