The 1983 GMC Value Van: Turo alternative
Here is the 1983 GMC Value Van, for anyone after a rental car. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Engine and fuel
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
Who it is for
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Being a car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives.

Your request, our offer, your keys
A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
Licence, age and card
From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
Ready when you are
If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.

Can I rent a 1983 GMC Value Van in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
