Turo alternative and the 2015 MINI Cooper
For a rental car, the 2015 MINI Cooper could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Reading the spec sheet
The 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 6-speed manual. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 22 litres, from its 7.3 L/100 km rating. That works out to about $12.78 per 100 km at our price setting.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
How big it is
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is 255 litres, enough for about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Getting this car from us
Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
The rules, briefly
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.
Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
Your booking, in three steps
Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
Over to you
Choose a car above and send a request. A person replies with an offer, and you pay only if you approve it.
