Java and the A4

What the figures tell you

It uses the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Combined fuel use is 8.3 L/100 km: about 25 litres for 300 km. In energy, every 100 km costs about $12.87 at our price setting.

Who the A4 suits

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

The A4 in everyday use

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA measures its luggage space at 340 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting this car

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

Requirements

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

Booking made plain

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
