Java and the A4

Frankfort, Sharples and Raab Corners are the closest places to Java on our list.

The figures, translated

It uses the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

It is rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 25 litres. A 300 km weekend costs about $38.61 in energy at our price setting.

Who rents the A4

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Room inside

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. With 340 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Getting one from us

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.

Before pickup

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

Booking, step by step

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
