A note on Java

We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,639 km away. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

Close by are Selby, Lowry and Sitka, each with its own page.

The numbers in plain words

The 2.5L 4-cylinder, paired with an automatic (CVT), drives it. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

By the EPA's combined rating of 8.2 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 25 litres. Driving 300 km costs roughly $38.13 at our price setting.

Room inside

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Who rents the Forester

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Renting this car

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What we ask of drivers

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

Request, offer, keys

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Your move

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
