Engine and fuel

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

Good uses for the A4

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Inside and out

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA measures its luggage space at 340 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting the A4 from CarmaCars

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.

What to bring

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Your booking, in three steps

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
